WE NEED HELP SECTION Our family history work is based on facts whenever and wherever we can find them. Documents (birth records, death records, parish records, court documents, land documents, newspaper articles) are the heart and soul of good family history work. The reason we have added this section to our family history site is that we need help sometimes just like any other researcher. Listed on this page are ancestors we think we have, but we lack documents to prove them. In other cases, we just have big questions regarding where a line goes and could use some help with a surname. In any case, it seems pretty self explanatory. We hope you can help us out with the following challenges. Just click the email linkage and we will be hooked up and maybe we can get some useful work done. Thanks for visiting the site and thanks for any help you may be able to render. We need helpers to enlist! We can't draft you but we can ask for your help!

WE NEED HELP WITH THESE ANCESTORS
Samuel Bartholomeus SCHOEPKE was born about 1835 in Posen, Poland, Germany. He married Anna Caroline SCHOEPKE about 1859. This is a record, Samuel Bartholomeus Schoepke, that we have some serious problems with. First off, Samuel's middle name, Bartholomeus may not be his correct middle name. Second, we have absolutely no information about his birth place, exact birth date, death date or anything that definitively pins him down. We know he existed because August Schoepke, his son, existed. August Schoepke names Samuel Schoepke as his father on his death certificate so he have it on pretty good authority the first name is correct. We also have it on pretty good authority he did not leave Poland/Germany/Russia for Canada or the United States like August Schoepke and others did in the late 1880's. This ancestor is the chief problem with definitively extending or completing our Schoepke line in the old world. If Samuel's information is incorrect, then all the information of an ealier date may also be incorrect. IF YOU CAN HELP WITH SAMUEL SCHOEPKE PLEASE CLICK HERE AND LET US KNOW.
Jesse LOONEY was born 1809 and died after 1860 in Tennessee to "Anna Looney". No father listed. Jesse Looney, and the Looney line, dies right here with his birth in Tennesee to "Anna Looney". We have no other details that let us run down the Looney line beyond Jesse and his mother Anna. It seems Anna was born in one of the Virginias and the family migrated west with each succeeding generation. Jesse apparently was born in Tennesee. His children were born in Missouri, and we had some of the family in Alabama. You can draw a straight line from Virginia through Tenessee to Missouri, with a detour down to Alabama. Surely, somewhere in these states there's a Looney researcher who can hook us up with some research to help with Jesse Looney and his mother Anna. IF YOU CAN HELP WITH LOONEY PLEASE CLICK HERE.
Joseph Milton KENNETT was born 23 Apr 1830 in Gilford County, North Carolina. He died 2 Oct 1908 in Kennewik, Benton, Washington and was buried 4 Oct 1908 in Riverview Height, Cemetary. Joseph married Mary Magdalene STULTZ on 19 Oct 1851 in North Carolina. It would seem we could do a lot better with the Kennett surname that ancestors that quite at 1830, but we have been stuck here for quite some time. We know a fair amount about Joseph Milton Kennett, but we have not been able to get beyond this generation. This is something that I know some of you have information on. IF YOU CAN HELP WITH KENNETT PLEASE CLICK HERE.

George T LONG was born about 1825 in Pennsylvania. He married Sarah E LONG estimated 1816 in Greene, Pennsylvania. We have a number of Longs in our family and once again it seems with an illustrious surname like Long we should have more research, better documents and a longer trail. But we don't. I don't have much more research on this part of the family than what's listed here so I could really use some big time help. I'm pretty sure George Long didn't marry his sister in Sarah Long, so it would be nice to have his wife's real maiden name and see where she goes too......IF YOU CAN HELP WITH LONG PLEASE CLICK HERE.
John Peter FORSBERG was born, 20 Dec 1865 in Omea, Vasterbotten, Sweden. He died 14 Sep 1943 in Burdell Township, Osceola County, Michigan. John married Maria Karolina JONSON before 1892 in Sweden. With the Forsberg line we have a lot of questions, and only recently to do have any answers. John Forsberg and the Forsberg line quit with his parents and we have an early dead end. His mother appears to carry the surname forward as he is an illigitimate child of his mother. Her name was Sophia Forssen and she lists her father as only " A. Forssen". The listed father on our pedigree charts is Per Soderstrom, but that could be only a marriage of convenience after the fact for an unwed mother. We need some here here with either Forsberg or Forssen. Either way, if you can help please give us a click and let us know. CLICK HERE FOR FORSBERG OR FORSSEN HELP.
You can always come back here and start over from just about any page. We hope you find the information useful, and enjoyable. Try out the scrapbook links and see what pictures we have included. The notes are fully searchable and yield their own information. If you have questions, and hopefully additions, please send us an email. We have heard from folks all over the world. It's a pleasure finding family members anyway you can.
